Indoor-Outdoor Athlete Functional Training
My family has always been a very active one and I think this is where I got my excitement for sports and exercise. Having spent many years here, I want to give back to the community that has given so much to me. After going through some various sports injuries myself, they have given me a passion for rehabilitation, which is all part of trying to get back to the things I love to do.
My passion for exercise has taken me to the Sierra Nevada to work as a ski and snowboard instructor. I really enjoy working with people and determining a plan for them in order to reach their goals.
My passion for exercise has also taken me to CSU Chico to get my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology. This experience really prepared me for a professional job in a related field. I learned a great deal about Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology and fundamentals, as well as advanced strengthening techniques. This experience also gave me a great foundation in Anatomy and General Physiology. I learned a great deal here, but after I was done, I learned I was not finished. Now I am working on my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have realized over the years that our health is not in someone else’s hands but our own and that the best course of health care is through methods of prevention.
Exercise can work as an injury prevention, as well as preventing health complication in a person’s future. If we maximize our own physical health our quality of life is so much greater.
If you are looking for the fountain of youth, well you have found it with exercise! If you would like professional help on how to go about taking control of your own health care, well give me a call. You never know you may even have fun while improving your own health. I jump at the opportunity to work with anyone who wants to make a change and can’t wait to meet you and get started!
